What happened to the forums?
perftesting.org started as a community site with forums, articles, and links directories. There were many members that signed up, and I want to thank you all for your contributions, and urge you to continue to read this blog, and post comments.
I made the change from an open forum to a blog based on participation. I didn’t see huge quantities of people posting in the forums – a select group of people did interact with the site, but I was the primary poster by several orders of magnitude.
It seemed more logical to me to move to a blog for that reason – I post the most, and the types of features and functionality available in a blog fit well with this model.
Cost was also an option – the forum software and subscriptions was considerable given that I wasn’t making any money off of the site.
I’ve archived a few of my posts here for reference. If you’re looking for something in specific, please let me know.
So there you go. If you want to participate here, including writing posts yourself, please feel free to sign up or contact me. I’ll set you up with your own space on the blog, or you can post right along with me.
